CHECKDAY 2.0 "Checkday" could easily seem complicated, so here's a demonstration of how to use it. Before Starting: Download chkday2.exe and put it in C:\. Step 1: Create a .txt file anywhere on your computer and change the file extension from .txt to .bat. If you cannot see .txt, you need to change your computer's Folder Options to not hide file extensions for known file types. Step 2: Right-click on the newly-made file and press "Edit". If "Edit" is not available, just open the file in Notepad. Step 3: Type into the Notepad window something like this: "call C:\chkday2 /ip /d 5-14-2006" (without the quotes). Obviously, change the date to the date that the event occurs. The items written after slashes (/) are options, which advanced users can learn about by typing "chkday2 /?". Step 4: Create a shortcut to the new BAT file and move the shortcut to STARTUP in the start menu. Step 5: Add a new line to the .BAT file for every day you wish to check for. Now, every time your computer starts, it will check if that day has come yet and inform you if it has. More Features (for advanced users): - play noise if today is the day - show specific message if today is the day - pause after checking if today is the day - show no text unless today is the day
